Course: Be Your Own Makeup Artist
This is a makeup course for yourself. Four hours of practice on your own face: skin prep, choosing and applying base, concealer, brows, eyes and lips. We work through two looks — a fresh daytime face and a dressier evening one.
We start with a makeup-bag audit. We look at what you already own, what suits your undertone and what is not worth buying. You leave with a personal product list and written notes you can follow step by step at home.

Training: Makeup Artist from Zero
This is an in-depth one-on-one programme for people who want to work on clients. We cover the whole foundation: hygiene and tool care, prepping different skin types, mixing base tones, brow architecture, eye shapes, lash application, sculpting and lip technique.
A large share of the time goes into hand positioning and brush control — the thing that separates professional work from a hobby. Every lesson ends with feedback and a concrete homework assignment.
Lessons are booked one at a time, 4–6 hours each, from €150 per lesson. That lets you set the pace and pay as you go rather than for a package up front. Towards the end we also cover portfolio building, pricing and finding your first clients in Tartu.
Who the courses suit
No prior experience is needed. "Be Your Own Makeup Artist" suits any age, especially if makeup never quite works or the products were chosen badly. "Makeup Artist from Zero" suits absolute beginners as well as people who have tried already and want the technique built correctly.
All products and tools are provided in the studio — bring a clean face and a hair tie. If you plan to work professionally, we finish by putting together a shopping list for your first personal kit.
Location, languages and registration
Lessons take place at Aparaaditehas, Kastani 42, Tartu. The studio has professional makeup lighting, a mirror and a dedicated station for the student. It is a short walk from the centre with parking outside.
We teach in Estonian, Russian and English. To register, select the course in the booking form and describe your level and goal briefly — we will reply with a suitable time.

- Do I need to bring my own makeup?
- No. All professional products and brushes are provided. For "Be Your Own Makeup Artist" you may bring your own makeup bag so we can review it together.
- Is a certificate issued?
- Yes — after the "Makeup Artist from Zero" programme you receive a certificate of participation and help assembling a first portfolio.
- Are courses group or individual?
- Individual by default. A small group of two or three can be arranged, for example with friends.
- How long does the full training take?
- It depends on your pace. Lessons are booked one at a time; most students reach independent work within five to eight lessons.
