What the four-hands service is

Getting ready usually runs in sequence: an hour in the makeup chair, then another hour with the stylist. The four-hands format removes that queue. Two specialists work on one person in parallel, and the whole look is done in 75 minutes.

The point of the service is time. On the morning of an event a free hour is expensive, and the buffer disappears fast. Four hands hands back roughly an hour you can spend on getting dressed, on photos, or simply on breathing.

We work in agreement: before we start, the three of us settle on the height of the hairstyle, where the parting falls and how much of the face stays open. That decides directly how much sculpting the makeup needs and where the emphasis on the eyes sits.

Who books it

Most bookings come from bridesmaids and wedding guests with three things to do in one morning, from prom students, from milestone birthdays, and from people heading to a concert or a gala straight from work. It also works well before a photoshoot, when the whole look has to be camera-ready rather than just the face.

If you are coming as a group — a bride with her mother and friends — I stagger the slots so the last person is not finished far too early. Tell me the number of people and the event start time when you book, and I will plan the schedule backwards from there.

How the appointment works

Send the date, the time and the occasion. I will ask a few follow-up questions: what you are wearing, whether your colour is fresh, whether you want the hair up or down, and whether there is jewellery or a veil that dictates the structure.

In the studio we begin simultaneously. I prep the skin and lay the base while the stylist preps the hair and builds the shape. Around halfway we change rhythm: while the hair is setting, I move to eyes and lips, so neither of us is ever waiting on the other.

At the end we review the look together in daylight and in artificial light and make the final corrections. You leave with blotting paper, your lip colour and a couple of pins, because something always shifts over a long evening.

Hair styling on its own — €30 / 60 minutes

If you do not need makeup, or you do your own, you can book hair alone: €30 for 60 minutes. We do soft waves, a half-up shape, a sleek low bun or a textured loose style depending on the outfit and the occasion.

The same styling can be added to any makeup service — bridal, evening or photoshoot. In that case the booking extends by 60 minutes and the calendar accounts for the longer slot automatically, so the next client can never overlap your time. With the four-hands service you do not add hair separately: it is already included.

Prices and duration

Four hands, makeup and hair — €75 for 75 minutes. Hair styling alone — €30 for 60 minutes. Adding hair to another makeup service is also €30 and adds an hour to the booking. Prices include products, lashes on request and a small touch-up kit.

Where we are and travel

The studio is at Kastani 42, Aparaaditehas, Tartu — the same building as Sära Fotostuudio. The room has good natural light and enough space for two specialists to work at once without you moving between chairs.

We also travel to you across Tartu, Elva and Tartumaa. On-location work adds 20% to the service price plus the taxi fare, and we bring the full kit including styling tools.
